  • MAGAZINES - 0ver 20 magazines for adults and children. These may be checked out.

  • NEWSPAPERS – Local papers:  Marion County Record, Peabody Gazette, and the Chase County Leader-News.  Back issues are available for several years.  Some old issues of the Florence Bulletin are also available.

  • VIDEOS – a growing collection.  Currently, most are for children.

  • LOCAL HISTORY RESOURCES – Includes city centennial books, family histories, the T.P. Alexander Diary about early Florence, and old county atlases. 

  • INTERNET access offering e-mail and the world wide web

  • COMPUTER  available to the public for word processing, spreadsheets and database work.

  • INTERLIBRARY LOAN - Access the collections of libraries across the state of Kansas and the nation.

  • SUMMER READING PROGRAM - Annually - preschool through 8th grade. Includes a story hour for younger children.

  • ROTATING BOOKS - Approximately 750 books from the NCKL are exchanged every two months.

  • LARGE TYPE PRINT BOOKS - For patrons with visual difficulties.

  • TALKING BOOKS - Books and magazines are available for all ages & interests on cassette. Cassette players are available free of charge. Ask the Librarian about this service for the visually and physically disadvantaged.

  • MAGAZINE AND PAPERBACK BOOK EXCHANGE – Free give-aways

  • To return books after hours, there is a BOOKDROP in the front door.
